A Message From Me
These 5 Little girls and their mama were rescued off the beach and are here safe with me. The mama is about 3 yrs. old and doc says the babies are about 5 weeks old.
Dear Friends,
It is May 2009 and already lots of the pets here at my place that were rescued at the beginning of this year have been adopted into homes in the states. In March, 20 of my dogs were shipped to Wag On Inn Rescue, Monmouth Co. SPCA, and the Tampa’s Humane Society, all no kill shelters or foster networks which have wonderful adoption programs and facilities. Now I am asking for your help again.
If you can, please make your very important tax deductable donation to Amigos de los Animales, Inc. We are a non-profit 501c(3) organization which rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes companion animals in Puerto Rico.
Because of the many puppies and dogs rescued throughout last year and now, all with medical needs, we have a large and still growing vet bill. We need to purchase pet food, medical supplies, dog crates, pay for shipping of more pets to the states for re-homing, and continue the care for our rescues in various states of recuperation. Your gift will be used for all these needs because every penny of your donation goes to the animals.
When you donate, you’ll be rescuing right along side of me, saving so many abandoned, abused and forgotten animals here in the Piñones area and around the island. Liz also has a huge vet bill that I would like to help her reduce. If you would like to help us, please send your check or money order to: Amigos de los Animales, Inc. C/O Adrienne Galler Lastra, PO Box 79169, Carolina, PR 00984. You can see my latest rescues, hear about animal rescue news in Puerto Rico and donate through the PayPal “Donate” button right here on my blog for the Piñones Beach Project. For more information about who we are and how to help or if you’d like to adopt one of our rescued pets, please check out our PetFinders site at:

And for more Amigos de los Animales news in general, go to our main web site at www.amigosdelosanimalespr.org. Feel free to contact me anytime at my email address: amigosdelosanimalespr@gmail.com.
The animals and I wish to thank you for not forgetting us as you help us continue to save lives. Don’t forget to adopt the adoptable and donate when you can!
Warm regards, Many Blessings and Thanks for Reading!
Adri

Love the story. I got a dog crate for my guy years ago and it was one of the best investments I ever made. Dog Crates are a safe way of transporting your dog in the car, as well as a way of taking him places where he may not be able to run freely. If you properly train your dog to use a dog crate, he’ll think his dog crate is a safe place and will be happy to spend time in his dog crate when needed.
OK Animal Lovers and to those who follow this blog, let’s pull together and help Amigos De Los Animales continue to rescue more dogs in need. Just knowing and seeing all that Adri and Liz and the other wonderful volunteers do for these dogs, that would otherwise have no chance, is enough for me to keep faith that their rescuing efforts WILL continue! I just did my part…donated $100 through pay pal. If you can’t do $100, whatever God speaks to you to give… $20, even $10…it will all add up. We can’t take it with us when it’s our time and just the act of giving is so fulfilling. Join with me and save a life…you’ll sleep better at night and so will each dog we save. God Bless.
